COME SEPTEMBER!!!!
COME SEPTEMBER!!!!
This Rock Hudson
and Gina Lollobrigida dance number is
the ultimate adrenaline rush to last the whole of September. I have it running non-stop in my head for
days together. Crazy me! I bet it is the same with many of you. Just that you don’t carry your heart on your
sleeve like me!
Though I haven’t
seen the movie, the tune and the handsome couple convey it all in that
dance. It becomes a fantasy for some like me. Yes, a fantasy it is. To dance with him (My man🤩!) with that sense
of joy and passion. The expression and the body language of the
dance say it all. The chemistry is so evident. It’s an example of the cosmic energy on the
roll! I bet you don’t understand this! But this is my interpretation of my feelings on
the song. You might have a different
view, but I am sure it does make your heart flutter, whatever your age may
be. That’s the magic…
I live with
this magic and want to share the sparkle with you this September. Let, the magic of love remain in our hearts
whatever our age is. After all, age is
just a number. It's about dancing to a
tune in your heart and this is one such tune…
COME
SEPTEMBER! Let the magic happen again!!

ReplyDeleteOh yes have seen this one. Enjoy September. It has lovely memories
ReplyDeleteand blessings.
ReplyDeleteCome September means "to arrive or happen after time has passed" of come. I will be back in school come September is same as I'll be back in school when September comes.
The tune and the dance are so carefree, open, full of energy manifesting the feelings of the couple in their beautiful movements and can be infectious marking it as a reference point for some memories in our lives.
The 1961 movie shot in Italy is a beautiful comedy and this tune by Bobby Darin is a timeless hit. This has been plagiarised (oops inspired!) by composer Nadeem Shravan for their movie RAJA starring Madhuri Dixit Nene with the song 'Nazre mili dil dhadka meri dhadkan ne kaha'...
This tune was also used by Anu Malik.
This Hollywood movie also inspired 3 Indian movies - Kasmir ki Kali, Mere Sanam and Anbe Vaa in Tamil, all with excellent soundtracks.
